Hello all,
I'd like to tell you about a major update to the Roland CompuRhythm CR-78 library from Forgotten Keys. I've been working on this for a while on and off. Main new features:
There are now seven accent levels (previously six) and ALL sounds have been sampled eight times (16 for Tambourine and Guiro) at each accent level for a total of 896 samples! This improves the accuracy of the volume levels between sounds and also the tone at different accent levels. Rhythms can now be programmed like the real CR-78 into six memory slots. There is an in-built virtual WS-1* to enable you to program each rhythm with up to 12 tracks over two bars/measures (96 pulses just like the original). Rhythm data is stored in a separate file that can be freely swapped with files created by other users for example. New UI graphics and other minor improvements and fixes as detailed in the included history.txt file. *The WS-1 was an optional programmer for the CR-78, now very rare and expensive. Normal mode:
Program mode:
Same price as before, £5.50. Please see my site for more details (link below). Note: This version requires a minimum of Kontakt 4.2 or later! All the best, Barry. Last edited by ForgottenKeys on Thu May 10, 2012 10:20 am; edited 2 times in total |

Thanks Stephen! Much appreciate coming from "Mr Graphics" himself Thanks chaps, I'll send out a download email soon, possibly tonight. Bear with me though as I have a fair bit of "physical world" stuff to do as well. |

Don't be afraid to let me know about any little bugs like this chaps, one person did and it's now fixed (hopefully!). The files were linked with a full path to files on my system so I didn't get the error and didn't know.
Please contact directly or through my site (not a KVR PM) and I'll send a replacement nki file. |

Thanks for this update. Been playing with this all morning (I got the missing samples message but easily fixed with a quick browse and save). Cheers! |
