- CPU efficiency is irrelevant.
- Virtual instrument handling is irrelevant.
- There likely won't be 10,000 plugs on the mixes.

I'd go so far as to say (electronic music aside) that in any large music hub here in the states, Nashville, New Orleans, etc... the same would likely be true for most people making records this way, which is a heck of a lot of studios making records this way. Point being, context is everything, and the context here is great players playing real instruments in real time.
