you're right this is good for a 16yo - good for any age really - but he's just copying Eric Pryds et al like thousands of others. Chances are he won't be the next big thing.hizzmo wrote:hes 16... that's why i find it amazing

yeah... i got half way thru this waiting for something to blow me away
is it amazing that he made a well mixed track? I suppose at 16, perhaps
but seriously this all sounded like construction kits and arp and one finger stuff.
if this is the next big thing than the bar has dropped. i was really expecting some steve vai-via-keyboards wankery, not something i could have done with the same tools at that age.
great he's starting early and perhaps he has a bright future. but, no, not the next big thing

I don't hate on madeon. He's a beast for his age and I think he has a VERY bright future. He may not be the next big thing, but he'll get pretty big. Plus, i personally think this is a decent track ;P

Not bad, not bad at all. They are funky tracks and very good for what they are. Sure, they are not super-hooky pop-fests or highly experimental masterpieces but they are easy on the ear and quite beautiful. I don't know if he's going to be a star in the future but he seems to have what it takes to be a great producer.

the tracks posted are not my thing at all; but the guy is obviously talented. come back in another two years when he's bored with photocopying facsimiles, and then his true talent might displayed.
