Yes no rules against distortion, saturation per se, just be careful to alter the sound where it's unrecognizable. (even if I don't point out that it's stepped over the line, people might take issue and vote accordingly so beware) |

Thank you all for the advice. I'll try out IrionDaRonin's idea. I do not like the Quote: Just install it again until it goes good part though. |

Hehe, well, that's only a copy paste action (and ALL synths should go in this way Anyway, when you load the "no-synth" structure part, try to find which is the preset (or the instance) that is making FL Studio going crazy. As i said, i found a kind of bug, which you could have too due you are using FL Studio. Long time ago i was using and testing Augur, so i saved some presets in FL format. Then i uninstall Augur and time passed. Then, actually, i installed it again for OSC40, and when i wanted to load these presets it's when FL Studio crashes, and some other times don't wanna load the song due an error. So be careful with the FL Studio presets and use them from the list in the wrapper, not your personnals FL format in case you have some. So i think saving presets in FXP or FXB should go fine. Good luck, have a good day and waiting for your news. |

Thanks Irion. I'll do some work on this within a few days when I get some time to fire up the ol' setup - I'll keep you posted. |

I started to make some things yesterday. Augur works very fine in (my new toy) Sonar X1 Studio (64 bits on W7). |

5 instances so far. Less than 10% of CPU in my Phenon X4. No crashes. (And a BIG Smile in my face) |

On the other hand, only 1 instance on FL eats 15% of CPU. |

Some DAWs are more efficient than others in using plugins, no doubt about it, although that was a big difference. Maybe it's FL's wrapper thing (whatever that really is) that's causing the issues and excessive CPU usage. |

Hello everyone. I just discovered this group a few weeks ago and decided to contribute what I could for this one. I couldn't help but fall in love with the Augur VSTI.
Since I've never done this before, I hope I'm doing this correctly. I shared my track to the KVR OSC group on soundcloud, making sure downloads are enabled for it, and I'm posting the following info here. Title: dwringer - auspicia oblativa Host: FL Studio 8 Augur instances: 11 FX: ReaComp - single instance for light mastering http://soundcloud.com/dwringer/dwringer-auspicia-oblativa -Darren |

Yes, definitely all in order. Just weird you didn't use any other external FX, as delays or reverbs, but the track it's nice without them as is it. It's just i'm a delay/reverb whore, hehe. Good luck and well done. Have a good day |
