i can understand why. not just for his abilities, but how much time he puts into communicating with people (mostly on his own forums, but nevertheless, a lot of bands/artists don't even appear to know they have forums etc at all.) as an example, he was still replying to that ama 9 hours ago.

The reply to the piracy question was great.

I don't know if you read it all through, but there is some seriously naughty stuff in there.

Steve Albini is my no.1 choice to record my acoustic stuff. Seeing him squirm as he segregates his proffesional and creative personas would be a bonus for me. Though I wouldn't do it intentionally. I would take a hit in the chops from Steve if it ment a better track.

wow, he even touches on the 'quisp and quake wars', and how quake won; even though everyone liked quisp better.

that's the way i remember it, too.
