Is this going to be the DMGAudio version of something like Discord3?

in order to appease the folks who like PitchFunk you could do a hybrid

PF _________

like PF Modulator

and then when people ask what PF stands for, you could say PitchFunk

and then

Been playing with the beta and this beast will definitely benefit from a lot of presets to get people started. Things can get crazy fast! Smile

I'm not that keen on pitchfunk as a name either, mainly because it goes against DMG's current naming style.

quite like:

MODernism

MODeration

MODesty

At least they are in keeping with EQuality and COMPassion. Only problem with calling it "MOD..." is that it isn 't a chorus/flange style plug like ubermod or anything. In that regard Pitchfunk is a bit closer to describing what this thing actually does.

Perhaps PITCHeresque describes things better?

Still waiting for Warmth Dave, nudge nudge hehe! Wink

Sorry, did I miss something -- is there a link to the beta?

No, it's a closed beta.

Also, nobody but Dave and I have seen/used the final beast yet - the earlier betas are pretty rudimentary compared to the version we're working on for release.

>it isn 't a chorus/flange style plug like ubermod or anything.

Yes it is - actually, it's now capable of some outrageous chorus/flange effects.

Apples and Oranges, I think. They both have pitch shifting and delay, but I think that's about as far as we can compare without getting misleading.

This thing is just f*cking mental. I was on the phone to Krzysz last night while he was testing/making presets, and I heard some stuff I can't even describe. After the deep lush flangers and choruses, things just got more and more weird.

They don't really fit into any category of effects I've heard before, or that have names, but they're cool as f+ck. We should get some audio together, really.... I have it. I'm going to record him tweaking stuff. Very Happy

Dave.

PitchFunk it is. It's not just a plugin, it's a genre.
