I tried a different method with x32 and x64 mixed in one folder and get a msgbox for each and every x32 plug in x64 zen or x64 plug in x32 zen.
Would it be possible to store these messages and bring up ONE msg collection popup AFTER scanning?

Error
Plugin file (...) not found
Which is the message you get in Zen when trying to instantiate/scan a plug dll of different architecture...
I have a folder with x32 plugs and their corresponding jBridge plug.64.dll... The .64.dlls get scanned, the x32 plugs cause a msgbox...

Hmmm ok, once I change it so that you can have both coexisting happily on your system, it should make things easier.
And now, my turn to ask a question: how the @#@! do you test a x86_64 build on OSX ? Which host ?!?!

I noticed that support for vstFX is not slated until 2.0.
It looks like this should work already? I see inputs to zen in my host.... is there another limitation?
In answer to your last question, it looks like REAPER is available for mac 64-bit.

Yes - the engine is, in theory, perfectly capable to host and manage fxs.
The only problem is that the UI needs to be adjusted. For FXs you need a different categorization, e.g reverbs, delay, compressor... Without a major change to the UI, these would have to be mixed with the synths categories, which I think, will be confusing eventually.

Okay, I can live with that
I'm going to try it.... I just use zen as a multi-instrument subhost--I don't really use the categories much
thanks!

Well, I'm afraid it won't work, because Zen checks that the plugin is a synth - for the above reasons.

Is this on Mac or PC ? I just installed the latest synth1 on PC, hit scan in Zen, and it got recognized immediately and started downloading presets...

Did you try a scan of your plugins folder ? Also, do you have synth1 latest version ? And, you're using Zen 32 bits version, right ? because synth1 is 32 bits only...somogyi23 wrote:when I want to locate the plugin's dll, there comes an error message: ".... plugin doesn't found"
