Yeah that is no guarantee to me, especially when there are plenty of options with no dongle out there. Anyhow, great sounding synths and hopefully some upcoming full-featured version will have a no-dongle option.

Well, the same can be said for those companies that only let you install it on 5 computers or whatever. I think that's a fair policy, but I bought some software and installed it on computers, but over the years I changed frequently and now find myself not being able to use a couple of them. It's not a huge deal as I didn't use that software that much anymore anyway. But it is annoying. With a dongle at least I know that won't happen. And the support from the company thus far has been so good I don't anticipate a problem should my dongle ever break or get lost. Now, I can't say that for sure. Anyway, I don't work for this company or anything and don't want to seem like a fanboy- I just think they are great products. In a way I'm glad people aren't as crazy about this stuff as Diva (which I also think is fantastic) because I don't want everyone using what I use.

Yep, soundsdivine.com

Simon has preset banks for both XILS-labs synths and without meaning to sound trite they simply sound divine. :D

Julian Ray sells the Kobold series of soundsets for PolyKB:

As for SynthiX, I'm slowly working on a retro style set. No idea when it'll be done though. At this writing it's only 20% finished.

But at least i need to clarify once again that anyone with cubase/nuendo already has a compatible dongle.

All they need to do is make it compatible with the software based version of elicenser and then no one can complain any more.....
Are you sure? I didn't know elicenser could host ilok licenses :?: I thought each was a different creature entirely.

EDIT - I see they offer both dongle flavors on their site

I would certainly consider it.I wouldn't buy it right now as I don't have funds.
If I wanted it badly enough i'd put up with the dongle.
But dongles do put me off buying plug-ins if I can find alternatives that don't use dongles.
I agree Synthix does sound nice though. :)
So basically i'd be much more likely to buy it if I didn't need a dongle.

have those who refuse to entertain buying this because of the dongle,

have you at least tested the non dongle fully functioning demo to see if you like the actual product?

What i am asking is,

i think xils are watching..

write here if you would actually BUY it, for sure, at the current price, if there were no dongle, i.e. if the dongle is the ONLY obstacle.

No other ifs or buts, i am trying to ascertain where the dongle is the ONLY issue blocking people.!
Hell, yes. I would get the Synthix and the Xils3. Seriously, the dongle is the ONLY thing that's stopping me.
I think they have to decide what's best for their business, and if the dongle serves them well, that's fine with me. There are other alternatives out there. The one thing I DON'T want is some cut-down version, though.

I would buy one of Xils synths if no dongle was there, of course.
I don't doubt many others would too.
Many users won't buy synths if they have a dongle.

@ttoz: My congratulations to your purchase.Synthix is great indeed and it's sound is quite unique too, especially with the Chorus and/or it's BP filter.

If you manage to understand the layer concept you could do some really deep programming.

Every time, this kills the entire argument. And it almost always comes from those who've not used hardware or owned the synth in question.

No use in getting an emulation that doesn't emulate. Tons of other synths out there already.
