Could anyone walk me through how to create a bassline like the one in this track? I'm really liking this style at the minute, but i can never seem to get anywhere near these types of bassline. It sounds pretty simple, but i can never seem to get close.
Here's the track, and the bassline comes in at 00:31.
even down to the placement of the notes. to me it sounds like there is a bass note placed on the first beat of each bar. would i be right?
thanks
how do create this bass...

yeah it sounds like a sine to me, but im wondering how you get the power that it has, and how to get it to sit nicely in the mix. can anyone help?

Nice track.
It seems too thick to be a sine to me. I think it's a saw. Could be layered with a sine. Possibly put through saturation.
The repeating 3-note bass pattern starts 1/8th note before the bar, the two notes in succession also playing 8th notes. But I'm pretty certain there's only 3 notes. There could be some tail on the bass. Or perhaps some drums are tuned, if you'r hearing something besides the three most obvious notes.

OK i have another question about the same track. This might be a bit hard to explain though.
If you listen to just the first bar (although this sound carries on throughout the track), there is some sort of syncopated percussion sound that is giving the track its groove. I cant really think of any other way to describe it, but if you can work out what i mean, can you tell me what the sound is? It sort of sounds like something snapping, if that makes sense.
thanks
