Hey guys, so I've been trying to figure out how to recreate the sound from this song at 1:49. It's the primarily "bassline" - The one that sounds like a talking ape (not the one at the end of every other bar). I'm using massive, so tips for recreating it using that would be most helpful, but overall sound design tips are more than welcome as well.

Any input on how to do this would be really helpful. Thanks a lot!

I'm almost positive that this comes from Massive's Modern Talking waveform - just like the lead from the original track (and the one every 4th bar). This may just be either processed with a stepper/performer, instead of an LFO - or it has been cut up like a sample, to make these small groovy peaks appear instead of it being a "whole" synth.

I've created a sound that is very similar to this. I made it in massive.
My sound sounds like a mix between the lead sound from Nari & Milani - Atom and Toulouse (Trash remix).

it's really easy to make this sound using a maximum voice saw wave and a noise wave. The only other plugin you need is sausage fattener and you're good. All other effects I used were from ableton live.
