And the Windows wizards always suggest everything you've already tried. Of course they would, as you have to be pretty desperate to turn to them Smile

Laughing Laughing Laughing

It actually found a couple of problems when I first upgraded, but not since. Of course, I haven't given it the chance to find the problem. I just cancel out of it and restart my app, as a couple of others have mentioned. Wink

Funny, the program that causes the most issues for me is MS Outlook. It's constantly crashing if I flip folders too quickly.

My favorite crashing program is 3ds Max. It doesn't crash often, but it "recovers" itself, saving a backup of the file you're working on at the time (a current backup), and then restarts. Smile

ah yes, that is nice. Open / Libre Office has that 'recover' feature, saved my ass quite a few times when I forced a shutdown without checking if I'd saved everything.
I don't deserve that kind of mercy, the way I treat my computers Laughing

To answer the original question: It has found a solution 80% of the time. That is five messages, which of 4 it found a solution. They were mostly updates to programs and drivers.

Only thing that sucks on Win7 is iTunes. That has to be the crappiest software ever made. Every time it needs to think of something it totally freezes.

Ok, I was joking. In my case, it's "found a solution" once out of perhaps 30, and it turned out it wasn't a solution after all.

You know when your VSTi, VST, DAW, sound editor, game, or notepad crashes. A helpful little window pops up. It informs you that 'Windows is checking for a solution to your problem' and it sits there for a while. Then ... well ...
