Domine Abomine
Pseudo-choral/chanting plus church organ, in 7/8
The title came about because that's what they ended up seeming to say - the patch I used cycled through the syllables 'oh' 'ee' eh' 'ah'.
MP3 (soundcloud)
Used:
Choirs - Alchemy x 2
Organ - Alchemy
Bell - Magix Revolta 2
Reverb - QuikQuak Fusion Field
EQ - Magix built-in

Recorded, mixed and mastered in Studio One v2.

mello: stimme
Karin: Overtone Flute
Ableton Live 8 and Aether
Auf dem Reiterhof
da singt ein Pferd
von Tagen
gänzlich unbeschwert
Die Hühner lachen
sich den Hahn
von Tag zu Tag
in ihrem Wahn
Und das Schaf
das tagt sich in die Wolle
und landet
bei Frau Holle
Glückauf!

On the farm a horse
is singing away
the weigth
of the day
The hens are laughing
themselves a cock
from day to day
within their mock
And the sheep
she days in the wool
just to be
Frau Holle's fool
Good Luck!
have fun!

Lines of Fire

Went more for a series of monophonic lines here, rather than a melody in the conventional sense. Lots of octave doublings (and triplings) throughout, sometimes for just one note at a time to give a slight accentuation effect.
Virtual Instruments Used:
- Omnisphere
- Pianoteq 4 Piano
- RA Shakuhachi, Duduk, with a dash of Alpenhorn
- Samplemodeling Trumpet & Trombone
---

just a fun little melody i sang today (actually yesterday now). fl studio, goldwave, bit of rx2 some reverb and i did the chipmunk thing cause it's cuter. i used my voice in a few different ways. think bobby mcferrin, some yodling, a bit of flamenco type lalala stuff. zippidy doodah!!!! didn't apply any pitch correction or anything. had to get my entry in cause this month's concept was super cool and i wanted to be a part of it! hope it sticks in your head and find yourself humming it.

My attempt. It can be argued that arpeggios are just broken chords and therefore not in the spirit of monophony, but...others are doing it so I don't see why not
At the end of the tune I cranked up the reverb to get this washed up sound as the track fades away, if this is stretching the rules too far I can resubmit with that part removed.
Host: Aodix
VSTs: de la Mancha Basic64, JB Omniverb, NoName EQ, TobyBear Humanisator
and Cool Edit for some final tweaks
