Hi,
i'm searching for a good sample player vst instrument in the low price range.
I'm working with energy-xt as a host.
Energy-Xt has a internal sample player instrument but this is not working for me because of missing features.
My current list is:
- Wusikstation -> Cool presets and good features
- Dimension Pro -> A lot of presets and good quality, but is it up to date?
- Independence Pro -> Large library and lot of features, but quality?
Do you have additional products or recommendations for me?
What are you experiences?

It had a recent update of many new samples added.
This is inexpensive, and more limited to those you mentioned, but still good if your just looking for sounds.
See that here.

Wusikstation is currently on sale, so now is a good time to buy it, you could get it now and maybe something more premium later when you have more cash.
For the money I can't think of better bang for your buck. There is a ton of content there, and you can add more of your own.

Kontakt isn't exactly low price range. The Essentials bank and player is ok for $50 but more like a paid demo. Buying any NI product outside of Komplete makes me personally feel I am wasting my money, if you want any of their stuff I think it is best to save up and buy Komplete.

Library was one point.
But the decision is made, i've bought Cakewalk Dimension Pro.
I'hd an upgrade path from Dimension LE to Dimension Pro , combined with the current -30% sale i've just paid $35.

look for used Kontakt licenses at the marketplace forum. i paid... can't remember exactly, but 100-150 bucks for a Kontakt 4 license here. you won't get the library if you're buying just the license, but if you don't need bread & butter sounds you will not miss it. i certainly have no regrets.
edit. whoops, guess i'm late.
