Is it possible to use the Irig MIDI connector to an Ipad 1. Play with my MIDI Keyboard, a music iPad APP and simultaneously record the IPAD audio OUPUT via the 3.5MM ouput jack on the iPad?

I use the CCK and a midi interface and do exactly that. I can't see why the iRig is any different.pierreb wrote:Hello mobile fans,

There should be no problem with this. iRig MIDI transmits MIDI data (IN/OUT/THRU) and Core MIDI compliant apps will respond appropriate to the data, and the audio going out of the jack can be routed where you want it to record. You can check http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigmidi or http://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq for more information

It's already been answered but, yes. I have used the iRig MIDI controlled from my Korg 01/wfd and sent the iPad's output to my mixer. The iRig MIDI hooks up to the 30-pin dock connector, leaving the headphone out available.
