'C or D' means, we have two takes on what follows the end of 'B'...
depending on what shape the other 'D or C' takes, these are at this time equal modules as far as the form.

by itself. For me the more notable bit is the fast area starting around 1:02, which has a terrific tempo modulation where it sneaks into a slower funky thing. All the drummer's fault. There are three streams of time here out of the drummer's polyrhythms but the magnesium one got bas relief (as a salve to the outgrowth of brainiac fingers).
the new section [under construction] will_be_C since it provides max. contrast. and more space so the same motifs appear more as 'exposition'.
there is a flagrant reference to a single line [musical and literal] in 200 Motels to catch and ridicule.

I don't hear that section from 1:02 onwards as funky, but maybe that's more related to the way I am listening rather than what you are playing. Whatever, I like it. It gave me Black Page shivers which can't be a bad thing.
I can't comment on the 200 Motels reference. I think I sold that album in 1984. For some reason I never replaced it. I guess it's just one of those things, like why they built those airfields in the Andes.
I can say that I really enjoyed this piece, and am looking forward to the eventual reconciliation of the 4 members of the "Stranger" family

at one minute, NB. 1:02 on my timeline but I forget about the two seconds before the left locator. after some six seconds it slides into something which could be called 4/4. It's at a 4:5 ratio vs. how it starts. drums keeps both tempi.
it's typical for me, state -> idea and close it; so it's either expository or a recap. The length suggests, in cinematic terms final act, arc coming down with velocity so we'll take some time with a development. Normally I don't force 'development' in favor of free ideas successively, but it's necessary here.
