I ran across a pretty cool free PC survival racing game today that also has an _excellent_ soundtrack (23 tracks) by someone going by the name "Torcht" that is available for download too. The game is named "Nitronic Rush" and was made by students at a game design school, DigiPen. I haven't listened to all the tracks yet, but what I've heard so far, I like a lot. It's electronic and kinda dubstepish, and it's going on my MP3 player! Here are the relevant links:

This is really cool (the soundtrack anyway, haven't checked out the game). Some parts sound sort of Daft Punk-like.

Yeah, bits of it remind me of Deadmau5 too. Maybe Torcht was going for a Daft Punk sound because the game is very Tron-styled. Anyways, I think the music is top-notch and thought I'd spread the word here.nineofkings wrote:Some parts sound sort of Daft Punk-like.
I heard about the game on YouTube here (The Cynical Brit):
I like this guy's game reviews.

Quantum Redshift
Quantum Redshift's soundtrack was done by Junkie XL who's got an Alchemy sound library:

Wipeout sounds like it has a cool soundtrack too. I don't know what it is, but I like these kinds of games. I picked this up on Steam yesterday, and it's pretty cool too:

Wipeout had The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, and Orbital on the soundtrack.. good lineup for back in the day.
After playing it a bit.. I will say Nitronic Rush is VERYYY impressive for a student built game. Actually, it seems polished enough to me to be a commercial game.. apparently they designed the 3d engine from the ground up for the game too. Super skills.. their tickets are punched for sure when they graduate.
