Hi everyone,

I am collecting drum machine samples and I have been listening to the Jarre Magnetic Fields album and also Chronologie, what drum machines did Jarre used for these 2 albums please? I love the sounds used and would love to use them on my own music.

Any help would really be appreciated

I think Jarre used a Korg KR55 on Magnetic Fields IIRC

Also very cool, but it doesn't emulate the whole drum machine, I want all the patterns etc

Thank you guys, you are all awesome.

I'm a huge Jarre fan and while i'm creating my own identity as a musician there is nothing more satisfying than being able to just fiddle around with sounds you've grown up with loving

Jarre used a wurlitzer drum machine and alike very often back in his prime 70's days a lot, but if you're into programming a bit, . You can get along with an 808 style vsti.... I did it convincingly very often... And he used the cr 88 lot.... Stock rhytms, so you can't do wrong with thatone. there's a freeware version somwhere available ..... I don't recall it right now as I'm drunk as hell right now....

Cool, it has no sequencer but:

22 Rhythms supplied in MIDI file format for sequencer import

And is only $10

I"ll be putting this on my buy list!
