Is Dimension Pro worth buying for ~$37?

There's a sale at Cakewalk for 30% off some of their software such Dimension Pro, Rapture, Zeta+ 2, etc. I've been eyeing Dimension Pro there, but I'm unsure if that's something I should invest in. I want to invest in getting Komplete 8 someday when I get enough money, but for the time being I wouldn't mind getting something cheaper that has enough sounds for me to create music.
I have Sonar Home Studio 6XL and it comes with Dimension LE which doesn't have as many sounds and options as the Pro version. I wouldn't mind getting the pro version for $37 because it would be the upgrade price plus the 30% discount. What I want to have are more drum samples, hiphop drum samples, and more samples in general, but will the Dimension Pro satisfy that or is there some other avenue I should take?

it comes with an 8 gb sound bank of proper sound content, all top class. some of the presets have been used in major motion pictures such as star wars and such. For this money you be daft not to

It seems like a great deal. I'm just wondering if I should save that $37 for Komplete 8 someday or if I could get by with Dim Pro for a while and wait a little for Komplete (Unless I get more money soon).mr president wrote:it comes with an 8 gb sound bank of proper sound content, all top class. some of the presets have been used in major motion pictures such as star wars and such. Komplete has so much more going on in there than DimPro. I'd save up.

I'm sure it does, it's just I don't think I have the money for it right now and may not for a while.EvilDragon wrote:Komplete has so much more going on in there than DimPro. I'd save up.
I wonder if Dim Pro will get me by for a while along with other synths that came with my HS6XL and free synths.

Well, in that case, go on. But when you get Komplete, Kontakt, Massive, FM8, Absynth, Reaktor... those things will easily overshadow DimPro...

Dimension is good, but by trying to satisfy many tastes it positions itself as a "middle of the road" pop-rock rompler.3ptguitarist wrote:. If you are after specific building tools for hiphop, drum loops, I would look elsewhere.
The hip hop expansion pack will work with Dimension LE: http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2ceuro/P ... HH1.00-20E

At first I was going to say hell yeah, but I dunno tbh. I always mix up Discovery Pro and Dimension Pro , and I thought it was the former ! lol
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

Where would you recommend for cheap or free?
