Hello
This is small improvisation with the sound of an Electric Violin. A breath controller is used to boost the expressiveness of the instrument. I chose to introduce some serious amount of saturation, to simulate the sound of violins we use to hear in ethnic music performances, with the hot pre-amps and the highly resonated tone. Hope you enjoy and feel free to post your comments! Please choose HD for better quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFlvAlXdR_M&feature=relmfu P.S. Here is also the soundcloud file: http://soundcloud.com/neocymatics/electric-violin-vst-solo Best Regards, Marios |

What sort of sorcery is this? This is really good, what's the VST and where can I get it? I imagine (going by the screenshot) that it's Kontakt-based, so what library is it?
Marie, great sound. |

Marie, great sound. Thanks for the kind words It's an instrument from Hybrid Strings Library, and yes, it's Kontakt-based! Check my signature for our website, you can see all the details there. Best Regards, Marios |

Best Regards, Marios Great.! I see on the site that it is a Kontakt 5 library. Do I need to upgrade from K4 to use it or is it playable in Kontakt Player 5? It's definitely a good reason to upgrade! |

This is great, i feel as if the violin is pouring it's heart out, trying to tell me a story. ---- Learning mixing, no song's complete yet! Any feedback more than welcome! |

Yes, we decided to use Kontakt 5 (to take advantage of the new features of this version). The Free Player can load Hybrid Strings without problems but only for a limited time. After that you have to restart the Player to continue. But, after all, it's a quite fair limitation having in mind that it's a free demo for the best soft sampler ever made (in my opinion) and still letting you use it to its full extent of features. But if you want to use Hybrid Strings without the annoying restarting I'm afraid you'll have to upgrade. Have a nice day! Thank you for your nice comment! Behind every melody there's a little story, most of the times a sad one! |
