What ?? No love for the SketchSynth,time for another approach. Edit the slightly obnoxious title and show some pretty pictures.
Anyways the SketchSynth lets you draw a virtual controller on a piece of paper. Yes an actual pen and an actual piece of paper.

Then there's a camera that looks at that piece of paper and looks for sliders,toggle switches and momentary buttons and does a digital representation of that.

Obviously it also tracks your hand movements.
Then there's a tiny picoprojector that projects the graphics on top of the paper making pretty much anything a controller surface. Don't like the layout ? Draw a new one,it's that easy.

And oh yeah it outputs OSC which we all know is teh awesome.
