As you suggested Ive followed the Scarlett, but this seems good two.

Can you please give me detailed arguments on which is better?

The important thing for me is stability both in DAW and in casual windows use.

Im interested how it will handle these tasks:
Skype calls
Music listening
Video Games

I use this computer for everything and it's really important for me to leave it this way, as flawlessly as possible.

I heard there might be a trouble with Skype. I really want to be reassured before i get an interface.

Appreciate your help!

Some say the Quad's driver are way better than Scarlett's, is it true?

may be. i've never tried it out, but i do trust the brand.
i can only say that in my experience the scarlett is a very good interface for the price, and the included software is usable too.
you should look at the add ons for a decition as i think both driver should do just fine.

The included software is nice and tempting. Scarlett comes with the plugins and ableton lite - The Roland with Sonar. I use cubase and waves plugins so it sort of an unusable add on.

I really dont want to end up with an interface that would make things complicated. As i said this is my main computer i use for everything, i really need it to work with windows normally.

Although it's on a Mac im still worried about Windows 7 x64 (what i use)

I have a quad capture, sounds great, no driver issues at all. Can also drive a variety of headphones with no sweat

Does it have a volume control via software? Like the built in windows controller? And did you experience any problems with noise like a few people reported? How does it work skype\youtube wise?

I have a Scarlett Focus Right 18i6 and are very happy with it.
Roland quad capture seems to have better resolution than Scarlett sound card. Both cards are USB 2 and there is no professional sound card with USB 3.0 on the market yet, they are only compatible with USB 3.0.
You should check if both sound cards have proper x64 drivers, as far as I know does Scarlett have it, but I'm unsure about Roland.
Roland has actually had cards on the market that do not have proper x64 drivers. Roland should be commended because they tell this. Not all sound card manufacturers do so.

Both sound card works with Windows volume control and mixer unit, they also come with their own software control that operate in parallel with the Windows control.
