I just upgraded my phone to a little faster processor, a little larger screen, and OS 2.3, my latency is exactly the same in Caustic (93 ms) but Caustic seems happier and even a little bigger screen on a phone is a big upgrade. Anyhow I asked this a while back but since it has been 6 months Ithought I'd ask again: what Android music apps do you find most helpful? Top of my list definitely is Caustic, nothing else really comes as close to a synth lover's app. BUt anyhow, to remix this because now maybe some new apps are available, what would your recommend I check out?

Go to your phones/tablets website, they will have details there.

Best musical use of an Android phone?
hit it with a pointed stick while sampling the resulting audio on an ipad

use the calculator to calculate the difference in latency between it and your ipad

as an ipad stand

Buy an Ipad. It's by far the best, most flexible musical instrument available that you don't own.

As an (ex?) Android tablet user, there is just no comparison. None.

yes, but the forums asking about best app for smart phone, i get your point, its just that ive only paid £60 for my phone andam interested if i can find an app just for making beats with when i get a few minutes to spare each day

Seriously, check out Caustic 2. It's an awesome app and I bought it but I rarely use it TBH - I just can't make music on a phone.

there's a history to that name which is too long and very dull...just changing your name to to some random body part wont have the same heritage, nor will make the same sense.....

but of the two, i'd go for knee-cap...much more catchy :)
