Been doing some sound design in Live 7 recently and come up with a few really cool instrument and effect racks that I'd like to make available for download.
But - I can't find any tutorials on how to store these in a separate place, and especially for sample-based instruments, store them together with the source samples. Do you have to first put the racks in separate sequencer tracks and from there make a live pack? sounds clunky... Any tips on how to do this? Many thanks! I think you can save effect chains, channels, groups,... by just dropping them in any of the folders in the explorer on the left. |

Once you have the instrument saved, right click on it and select "Show in Finder". ---- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* |

Load the instrument into a new project, then do a "collect all and save". That saves everything into one folder which you can then share. Anyone loading the saved project can then save the instrument and samples into their Live library. To share effects chains you can simply share the .adg file in your presets folder. |

Effects chains - I'm trying to build some of the more utilitarian variety (like bass enhancers, channel strips) and some that are FSU-type chains. All built in Live 7. Instruments - Simpler-based instruments based on samples from the Yamaha TX81z FM module. BTW, another thing that I can't find any info on. I own sampler so I can create multisamples BUT how do I save these for use with Simpler? You're supposed to be able to do that. Anyone knows? Best, A ---- Eion Flow - Lush, cinematic electronica. Right click on Sampler header and there will be an option to convert in to Simpler. ---- Wonder whether my advice worth a penny? Check my music at Soundcloud and decide for yourself. re:vibe and Loki Fuego @ Soundcloud |
