mr.bungle wrote: The new filter can do 99% of the good sounds of the original filter, but it's a bit vanilla sounding. Still, it compares very well to my Prophet 08, so essentially you get 1500$ synth for free I can easily make a build that has the original filter, I'll link it to this thread later. what about one build with switchable filters? personally though I'll go for smooth and well behaved on a filter every time - if I want to mangle it up and make it quirky I'll add fx after it thanks - so I'm really quite happy with the improvements on 1.0 |

I'd love to be the one who will do the GUI, but I have no experience there. All I can do is nominate a couple for the job. Nick Moritz (RADO) is one hell of a GUI designer, and Branis (he of the Tyrell 1978 skin) is the bomb! |

Also, if anyone's interested, here's a MauSynth build with the original filter: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13976481/MauSynth10.dll (I didn't adjust the presets, so some of them will sound odd). |

The 64 bit version works quite well and sounds really good. I like the fact that you can 'lock to terror' on the LFO. |

ARGH... I released the synth three days too early. I was able to bring the original MauSynth character to the new filter algorithm. It has better presence and is very analog sounding now. The boost mode is unchanged. The updated version is available on the website.
Here's a (very) crappy demo of the filter: http://rinki.net/pekka/mausynth/newfilterdemo.mp3 edit: I also got my motivation back |

awesome awesome synth with a cheerfully colorful, but annoying skin. hope this will remain free long enough for me to get home to my studio pc. ---- This is what I make: atmastudios ---------------------- with everything you do, do it with love and respect. ---------------------- |

tested with fl studio 10 and fl studio 10.5 beta (live mode): works 100%
This vst is superb, the warmth of the sound is very good. can make very nice Bassline A simple question: how to save a preset ? I am French, my English is not very good. If I understood correctly, we can send you a personalized background? I will carefully monitor the evolution of this vst ... Best regards |

My opinion is that this is a feature of a host instead of a plugin. I might be wrong, though. acidf wrote: I am French, my English is not very good. If I understood correctly, we can send you a personalized background?
Yeah, that's a 2 minute job. I can build a personalized version for you guys if you provide a custom background. Here's a template you can use: http://rinki.net/pekka/mausynth/background.png . But if there's tens of requests I might stop doing that. |

Thanks for this synth. It sounds really great. Vintage pad => instant Angelo Badalamenti.
Gui is fine too, except that some knobs are unlabeled and unclear to me. By the way, have been using Windows 8 lately |
