I recorded some Xylophone(Bells) and made an Instrument for both Samplers KONTAKT and Exs24.You can download it for free if you like!
I recorded this Instrument at the music school of Havixbeck, Germany. http://www.jugendorchester-havixbeck.de/ The microphone i used was the 'Sinn7 DasMic.3'. My audio interface is a m-audio fast track pro and the Software i use is Logic 9 on a macbook pro. Nice instrument, but to me it sounds like a vibraphone or glockenspiel, not a xylophone.
I think xylophone is supposed to be made of wood(from the Greek words xylon, "wood" + phonē, "sound, voice", meaning "wooden sound"). |
