So many little quirks with Logic! Some annoying as hell. Like for example in a latest track, I looped a Ultrabeat kick, and the kick would hit with double the velocity every time the loop started... Any one know why this is? I tried moving the first kick around and nothing happened. Moved around the loop points and still the double thump... So annoying.
But its a love/hate relationship for me, what about other Logic users? What annoys you the most?

Exactly that annoys me.
Considering all the MIDI miracles it can perform under the hood, it is a bit silly with some of the glitches. The timing issues are starting to really get under my skin recently...
I read from a developer that Logic sends faulty PPQ info, something to do with their compromise with the AU format and Rewire. I dunno, that's one developers tale...
It seems to happen the most with plug-ins that have their own sequencer built in; at least I've only ever experienced/taken note of it happening with plugs with built in sequencers. Even if your not using the plugs built in sequencer I think there's something going on with the way it's receiving it's note on from Logic in cycle that just isn't kosher.
But yeah, without a doubt the whole cycle thing is pretty damn annoying... It comes and goes with no rhyme or reason.
My complaints would be; I wish the crescendo transform worked as one would think... but nope. Everything else in the transform can be such a life saver; but that little crescendo sucker is useless and taunts me. In the hyper view of the piano roll I wish there was a tool or modifier for the velocity draw line instead of just "holding down click" and waiting for the tool tip to let you know it's time to draw. It doesn't always go to the velocity line tool, and it makes me pull out my hair sometimes. It's the only way to crescendo only selected notes sitting among other notes you don't want to effect. Blah...
Otherwise I couldn't be happier.

Logic is the least stable program i've ever used. I like it a lot but it crashed so damn much. Also, no autosave. And the supposed crash recovery system just doesn't work for me. For such a powerful DAW, it really is junky under the hood.

Logic is the MOST stable mac DAW i have EVER used...
Oh i have happened to use logic since 1996 and version 2.0 so i think i have a little experience with it
Oh course it cannot be as unstable as it has been for me for everybody...if that was the case there would be riots in the streets (or rather, forums hehe.)
All i can say is that Logic 8/9 has been extremely unstable for me. Fully updated, reinstalled multiple times, preferences purged, etc. All of this and Logic still crashes on my macbook pro multiple times a month.

How much RAM do your projects use? 32-bit Logic will crash after 1.5 GB RAM is consumed, sometimes a bit more.All i can say is that Logic 8/9 has been extremely unstable for me. Fully updated, reinstalled multiple times, preferences purged, etc. All of this and Logic still crashes on my macbook pro multiple times a month.
Another obvious possibility is a badly behaved 3rd party plugin. Of course, figuring out which one is not going to be easy ...

This is the main reason why 64-bit hosts + plugins are useful ... to avoid these limitations / problems. The bug does not only affect Logic, btw.

I was just trying out Numerology AU today and yet again, the timing is ragingly bad in Logic. 
I find using plug-ins with sequencer capabilities way to frustrating hosted inside Logic. It's better off hosting them in another host outside via MTC thru IAC with audiojack, or Rewire; because like I said earlier, there's a HUGE f*ck up in the way Logic is sending time info to plugs that have sequencers in them.
I'm really hoping I'm having some sort of severe mis-understanding with this, and someone can point out that I'm doing this wrong, but I doubt it.
I made a video tonight showing how horrible this can get.
As you can see from the video, this is how sloppy the timing is trying to get something as simple as quarter notes done! Numerology plays fine in stand-alone, but inside Logic apparently it doesn't know what time to grab on to.
I ran Numerology in stand-alone and synced it to Logic via MTC. I sent Numerology's MIDI output thru IAC 1 and cabled that into an EXS24. The timing was PERFECT.

It's not just five12 man..
The Numerology example is extreme, as the slop timing goes throughout, but that cluster of notes captured at beat one is exactly whats happening when all these people hear instrument plug-ins f*cking up on a loop or at start. It either doesn't play anything, or barfs out a confused and buffered cluster of madness when it happens.
I only used Numerology because I chimed in here a few days ago, and happened to have gotten frustrated with the problem while demoing it out today. It was on subject, just took an opportunity to record it to show what's happening.
I'm not on a vendata against Logic, I've been using it since 2002, so around a decade now. Love it, but there's something crazy with the AU format and syncing problems internally no? This problem happens with just about anything with some sort of sequencer built in it, even Logics own Ultrabeat as the OP brought up.
Again, it's not just Numerology. It's Logic's fault. Something is obviously happening on Logic's end that is causing problems with all walks of 3rd party AU's. Either that or the AU format itself is just fatally flawed. I seem to keep stumbling on chatter about how hard or impossible it is to send MIDI from AU.

Haha, didn't want this to turn into a Logic Bashing thread. I personally love Logic, its almost "Logical", and the Instruments and effects are great.
I just wanted to see if there were any other little quirks that annoy me.
