Anyone use Garage Band on the iPad?

How is it?

Anyone happen to be using the Alesis Dock?

For $5 it is unbelievable. The smart instruments are very cool and are worth it by itself. I just got an ipad, and while I do not think it would replace my regular rig, I have had a great time trying different things in a much more relaxed way than when I am "working" at my desk top. I have been making some interesting noises and tracks and then importing them for further work.

I had to walk out of the Apple store before I would get in trouble with my wife for buying an iPad or two. I need a new DAW machine but was nearly ready to trade the that for an iPad. Damn you Apple for making such a cool little gadget! It makes my Android phone cry.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Looks good! no Midi?

It doesn't appear to have any midi or midi sequencing. I guess we'll have to wait until after release to ask what the plans may or may not be for that, if any at all, and wheteher you can just move audio tracks from any of the many iPad sequencing apps directly into it. It looks to be more of an audio production app than an electronic music production / sequencing tool.

I guess all those questions will be answered after the release.

Anyway, if it works as advertised there won't be anything quite like it on the iPad or on the other popular mobile OS for tracking and mixing audio, nothing that I've seen yet anyway.
