do you like this sort of 'hard kick?' for this type of thing, i like a 'softer kick'.

the bassline sounds phreaking great.... same with the rest of it. i just wonder what it might sound like with a 'fluffy/puffy' kick instead of this one.

I really like this track.

I like the kick too

I like how the sounds just morph into each other, and the turn grows in intensity.

the one thing that put me off was the familier riff, but even that grew on me.

thanks, i did that in my laptop speakers at work between calls, mabe 1 hour total work from start to finish, but i think it's one to work for hours to make it album worthy

the kick... it actualy sarted by the kick, i took a "vintage uk" kit in ableton as i was going to make another non m4m song and decided to make some techno, so i made this 3 layer brutal kick with the original kick(you can hear this kick at bar 8 and 16 on the "turnarounds") and a 3 layer hard snare and hats, but i still had the precision bas loaded from the other idea and after hearing 2 upbeat E i decided hay that might work, then the techno went away and gave place to this non style tune based on 2 thirds of a blues progression (but robably not even right lol)

all this blabering to say it might get a totally diferent drumkit in production (and probably something like looping the 1st 4 bars 3 times before playing the last 4 or something to make that 8 bar progression seems less repetitive/give a sense of verse/chorus

:$ not to brag, but the whole structure/automation was threwn together in 10 minutes after i finally managed to "compose" the 5 8 bar parts (6 if you count the saw bass that doubles the precision after the break)

i work in an inbound call center, so i just have live open beside me and when there is downtime i just do a few bits (drawing notes, choosing sounds, layering drum hits, etc) sometimes i have a full minute of work done, sometimes it's just 2 snares and then i go back to work

so all the "work songs" i do are like done 1 minute at a time, every say 12 minutes (it really varies, some night i might talk all 8 hours, some nights i may have 20 minutes downtime with no call coming)

plus, i do that exclusively on laptop speakers so it really forces me to know my stuff to manage to sound half decent, i think it's a really great practice and it makes me a better producer to be able to do some listenable work in the worst possible environnement and conditions, plus, it makes studio time feels SO much better, knowing you are there to make music and that no one will bother you or interrupt you

I could image the track also as background music for a car advertisement... (because of the driving bass line)

thanks, i offered them but they said they paid a lot for the current on hold music and they will use it for many more years lol

just listened to it in speakers, it's really nice, but that bass is WAYYYY too loud lol
