Ive been checking out Drums XD for iPad and iPhone the last few days and the updates are awesome. Fully customizable kits and sounds...import your own sounds if you want. Dual zones and response is perfect. Added parra diddle feature and works great.

I think I did remove it...cleaning house! I am working on a full version of the other....with real vocals...that was recorded while sick and stopped up ears! DrumStudio is another great app that has a cool sequencer/writer...and they are working on importing your own sounds! I also have custom sampled drum kits for Nanostudio available for purchase if anyone is interested! They sound real...like really real! Here's a couple examples of the kits in action.

Bought this app the other day and it is awesome fun. It seems to play nice with Amplitube or Jamup running in the background and it plays mp3 files with less hassle than the way Amplitube handles them. So it's fun as a practice tool as well as making it easy to come up with drum parts to riffs that have been recorded in one of the guitar effects apps, or vice versa.

I like how you can make up a kit and put the parts where you want for easier playing position on the touchscreen. I hope they release more drum kits for it, but it already sounds pretty good. What would totally kick ass is if the developers added audiobus support and a multitrack recorder to it once iOS 6 comes out.

Gonna mess around with virtual midi and adding imported sounds next. Totally surprised at how much it has built in already. I would totally recommend picking this app up and giving it a shot. Looking forward to future updates and improvements.

I've imported my NanoStudio kits to this app and then some more cymbals and stuff....insane kits!!! This app is great...I've been talking with the developer about a note editing system along the lines of NanoStudio, GarageBand, and drumstudio...hopefully this can be done. I'll be posting video soon....hopefully in the next couple of days. I've been playing for the last 3 hours tweaking, panning, setting up kits....this thing kills! Hopefully quantization feature will be implemented as well.

Does anybody know what happened to Drum XD?

For me, it crashed, as I removed a song from my Music player, which I had selected as song in the Drum XD. Whehever I tried to start Drum XD, it just closes again after 1 second. So, I just deleted it and wanted to reinstall it, but got the message, that it is currently not available on the UK Appstore...

Any way to get it back?

P.S. the same happens on the US Appstore. And their user forum is flooded by spam and seems abandoned...

It's disappeared from the Australian app store as well. I checked after I read the post above. Why is it gone all of a sudden? I thought it was gonna be updated. The app still works for me, but if I ever need to download it again cause something goes wrong or if I buy a new iGadget or something, no dice. Which sucks. Big time. Any news about what happened? And will it be back?

Edit: The app is not even listed under purchased in App Store. It is installed and it works but it doesn't show up. Weird.

I contacted the company, but did not hear anything back. I hope they did not simply disappear completely.

I saw this once before when Molten drum machine had disappeared from the appstore. They must have been making some changes, because it was put back on just a little while later. It didn't show up in my purchased apps list either. This may be the case with Drums XD as well. I'll contact the dev directly and see what's going on.
