He's fixed it, we'll be mailing you a build asap - hopefully by close today.

Post

I'm fine with tomorrow since we celebrate midsummer eve here.

Will there be an overall update? Win64 Reaper user here too...

AFAIK - Loomer has a single pitch shifting algorithm, whereas Pitchfunk has 10, with more to come soon. Loomer has a single delay type, Pitchfunk has 3, same for filters and a bunch of other features. Pitchfunk has an envelope follower, 4 stereo modes, drawable LFO shapes, more flexible LFO controls and a more flexible routing architecture, but as Sampleconstruct mentioned, that's all secondary to the sound quality, which we think does a pretty good job of sounding like a lot of expensive boxes.
So is this aiming to do something like Crystalliser? Can you make similar sounds?

You can get similar sounds to Crystallizer and GRM Tools Pitch Accumulator TDM, although since PF does so much more, it may be a little harder to dial in. If I recall correctly, Crystallizer is based on the Eventide H3000 Reverse Shift algorithm. So, reverse is your first clue. Reverse Shift is also synchronous, so there's your second hint for which pitchfunk mode to try, especially if you are going for longer splices. That said, Crystallizer itself is probably a much more straightforward way to get there, and I don't think you can attain splice lengths as long without clicks in PF. That probably wouldn't matter to most people, and I think has to do with the splice crossfade, its shape and the maximum splice time.

Post

Doh, make that "asynchronous" in the last post.

Sorry we didn't get builds out on Friday, hopefully Monday though. There will be an update soon, however we're working on adding features and we're working on time consuming stuff that we can't easily estimate how long it will take. I know that might not seem very useful, but be assured that Dave is working (and looking) like Santa the week before Christmas.

We're not aiming to do something similar to Crystaliser, but yes, you can get similar sounds from Pitchfunk, and more besides. To my knowledge, there aren't that many multi-algorithm pitch shifters around - you can get similar sounds to a lot of pitch shifting gear, with a bunch of other options. You can easily breathe a bit of life into an effect - that's mainly what Pitchfunk is about.

Great stuff! Dave just sent me an update and finally I can edit LFOs the way it should be - very good and thank you...

Great - that version should have the preset bug fix too. We're still ploughing through implementing a new feature, update will get released once that's done.

I too can confirm it's working fine in Windows 64-bit now. Thanks a lot! 8)

Ahhh, now that I can edit my own LFO curves and make some funky step sequences assigned all over the place this is a totally new Plug-In somehow :)

Dancing over here, don't look lest you be blinded by my moves.

I was thinking it would be nice if there was a way to save and recall LFO shapes. Apologies if there already is, I've barely scratched the surface of the modulation.

I just had exactly the same thought, no kidding...

Yes, but were you dancing when you had it?
