As of this moment, this VU is pretty much overloaded with features already, so why add more? Unless requests came for customizing the ballistics for example. Nothing is set in stone, but things I like that people have suggested include: * peak needle with readout * clickable readouts for Controls * filter adjustments in mono channel Plus some other things that have been in my head since the early days of my dBVU plugin. As far as bug fixes go, yesterday i cleaned up a lot of code. Today I fixed the fade law problems, tweaked the vu code, and got the peak needles halfway done. I don't get a whole lot of time to work on my stuff so i can't say when the update will be available, but hopefully soon! I just want to say that it makes me incredibly happy to hear so many people are enjoying my stuff! I code these plugins for my own use first and usually release them on the Reaper message board a month or so later to see if anyone else would like them. I never thought I'd have so many people using them and talking about them on multiple forums online. Thank you everybody! -dustin |

Those feature requests are pretty good in my eyes.
Please correct me if I am wrong about this, but I can't find this plugin from the KVR database at all. It seems like you haven't put it there yet? I think it should definitely be there as it's one of the best freebies of it's kind. Thank you for this nice little tool and all the best |

I find that confusing as hell in VUMT and rather stick to a digital readout. Klanghelm implemented that as "numeric readout" below the VU, which holds for a couple of seconds until it resets. If you link that with the peak LED time, it should work. Else, simply use the digital meter of the DAW. Keep it simple - it's a VU, not a multi-purpose meter. d.bop wrote: * clickable readouts for Controls At least for the input gain, yes please. d.bop wrote: * filter adjustments in mono channel Which filtters? You mean metering filters like A, C, K? Though would imply that you have full control over the ballistics (rise/fall). Unless I'm mistaking something. Have only used the stereo VU as of this moment. d.bop wrote: I just want to say that it makes me incredibly happy to hear so many people are enjoying my stuff! If anything, we users have to thank you. |

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The peak needle will be optional and will show the max VU peak with a hold. Not a dBFS/PPM peak. This button will also show a readout for dBFS peaks right above the LEDs. I would like to have the hold time for the needle and peak readout be adjustable, just like everything else, but I need to figure out a way to fit that into the settings panel. I'm sure I'll get it though As for metering ballistics, I'm still working out a way to convert the code into tweakable parameters. Almost there (I hope!) The filters I was referring to are the ones in the MonoChannel plugin. Mainly the HPF. The slight bump at the cutoff will be going away and it may or may not change to a butterworth filter with adjustable slope. But like I said, nothing is set in stone. I want to make sure the CPU load stays low, and navigating the controls stays easy and uncluttered. I hope that clears it up a little bit. If not, let me know -Dustin |

Thanks alot for thees great tools!
I'll definately use these in my future projects! As you seem to be open for suggestions, I have one that hasn't been mentioned before (I think).. I'd love to be able to save default settings, that would load automatically when the plugin is loaded. Would save a lot of time. But no pressure though. These are already great for the price... |

Just wanted to say thanks for these. I was about to pull the trigger on the Klanghelm one. Love the M/S balance control. |

Dustin thank you so much for this excellent plug-in!
For guys using REAPER you can click the UI button and get numerical readouts for the knobs that aren't displayed on the normal GUI. Whether they are accurate or not I don't know but just a heads up. +1 on Compyfox's observation about the interface being readable on a larger monitor. That's my biggest complaint with some plug-ins...illegible text. Kudos! Quick question since the plug-in does have a trim feature. Is the internal code (DSP) 32 or 64-bit? |

Klanghelm's tool is still worth it though, since you get a PPM and VU in one, 4 built in skins, input gain, reference level shift and ballistics contol. I'm cool with both tools. |
