I use both and am paid for the work I do.

There is no single plugin I use for everything, just as there is no single microphone or preamp I use for everything. It's about finding the tool that works best - for you or your client.

My first impression of VRoom's GUI was similar to yours. It looked like it was designed by Mattel.
Fisher Price was a bigger influence on the design. :D

Really? VRoom IS prolly all you need. Have you tried it? If not, that would explain why you have to ask!

And Shimmer. And UberMod. Oh, and don't forget the free FreqEcho...great echo unit :hihi:

I love the design. Just seeing any of the Valhalla plugs in my DAW gives me a big smile

Demo, demo and demo. After that you won't have any more questions. And screw the 'cheap' GUI plea, it sounds rich, lush and deep. That's what counts! Not the fancy buttons.

Couldn't agree more. Very happy Room and FreqEcho user, and I am going to be purchasing UberMod today. I think the GUIs demonstrate excellent design taste. Super simple, clear, nothing distracting, and most of all, they can be scaled to any arbitrary size (which is so effing cool it hurts).

I won't lie--I love a good "faux-hardware" GUI like Urs's more recent stuff and IK's effects, but I think the Valhalla style is just as good. The most important thing is usability, and if you're not modeling a specific piece of hardware, you might as well make it something super-simple like this.

Keep up the good work, Sean!

To address the question, yeah Room is a killer reverb plugin. Whether it is the only one you need or not... Well, I think that's up to you to determine.

When is the new plugin out?

When it's done.

i love valhalladsp roomVerb, only thing I wish it that I'd have it as affordable hardware too, like a 100€ rack unit.

Just bought Vroom it's excellent.I'll still use some others though as I think they all have different characters.

VHR slays everything. It's 50 bucks (except for cheap crackheads or losers) and it picks up your dry cleaning. Just think, you could already be enjoying your purchase instead of arguing pointless debates!

I love Valhalla Room. It's my goto reverb plugin, but I wouldn't want it to be my only reverb. I love a good plate reverb, and as someone mentioned already, Valhalla Room doesn't do plates very well. Probably Valhalla Room + one good plate reverb would keep me satisfied. I always use plate reverb somewhere.
