Dear friends
Does the world need another Whiter Shade of Pale cover - NO. Can the original or all the other excellent ones be improved? - NO. So why bother even trying making another version? Well … A: To enjoy myself. B: To make a fool out of myself C: To annoy you. D:To experience rape from the agressors side. I know i succeeded on the first point. Hopefully i succeeded on all other points. If not, please forgive me for my sad attempt. Warm greetings from Amsterdam. If you dont already, please follow me on soundcloud. And dont forget to like YoureAllFree on facebook (or dislike) http://soundcloud.com/remcoh/youreallfree-whitershadeofpale Remco |

I always love your voice...begs the question, when are you going to sing in more of my tunes? |

I think I dropped you a message on soundcloud for a couple of songs that I think could benefit from your vocals. I'll send it again though just in case. |

Nice cover. The staccato bass pulsation is awsome. I would not mind a lighter shade of reverb on the voice. Also at one moment I was hoping the track would go more "ample", take some new space/dimension, but good tracks sometimes do with frustration; so I can go with that. Too bad its not DLable, it would be in my favs for the quiet moments. ---- www.lelotusbleu.fr Soundbanks for Vsti 5000+ Instruments for 23 Vstis, 8 Sound Designers, Hours of audio Demos. you took it and made it your own.
when i was a wee lad, i used to listen to the 45 over and over again on the record player... must have been around 1970. are you playing the parts in real-time? the piano in particular really grabs me. whether it's real-time or sequenced... very cool. normally i would say 'more organ and less piano' on this piece, but the piano bits here are 'ace'. somehow they remind me of 'dave brubeck'. have you thought of extending this out, with some modernized soloing/glitch/fsu-type of bits? alas, oftentimes less is more. so idk.... just a thought. anyway, very cool! |
