Is there any good way to reproduce a Dallas Rangemaster's sound? I have Amplitube Free, and I can demo all of AT's pedals for 2 days or more. I'm looking for workarounds, because if I just make a suggestion, that wouldn't help me right now (Also, I've seen it suggested plenty of times, so it's just a matter of time. ) |

I use Distorque Rangebastard for that purpose. Works great and it's fairly customizable. |

'AmpliTube3 Rich "Collector" Who Buys Everything You Can Think of but Doesn't Actually Use Any of it Except as a Conversation Starter.' Who cares about Vai when you can have this guys rig! That boost pedal is pretty useful... there's just something magical about how it works compared to using an EQ pedal between two effects to make them behave when normal adjustments won't do it. Boosting the Terror does get some good results. Hmm... another idea... Boost the Boost leading to even more Terror!! Okay... I'm done now. Maybe. You need to Boost, the boost with another boost. AKA - BOOSTception! (AmpliTube BOOSTception!) |

Ha, good one about the "rich collector" idea. I just picked up something at a flea market today that didn't require being rich. Just an old Yamaha solid state head and 4x10 cab. Nice cleans, very punchy. Haven't run it through a better cab yet though. For $35 bucks it was worth it On Vai's amp there, I know it would make a lot of people happy but personally I'm not a fan of those Carvins. Just personal taste, to each his or her own. I was impressed enough to make this one of the first pics I snapped at the Experience Hendrix show last year, though: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150306007400147&se t=a.10150306027915147.558189.337617160146&type=3&theater |

Anyone having problems with 3.8?
I can't load audio files in the speed trainer or load the plug into Cubase 5 without it crashing Cubase itself. Was gonna buy a slash amp and cabinet today. Never had any problems with 3.7. |

I need to find these flea markets that have 35 dollar Yamaha amp/cabs. Time for you guys to add that to A3 -- The other day, when I was going boost crazy... I used this sequence: cranked Boost, cranked TS, Chorus, Wah pedal on auto, Phase 9, eq pedal to screw with the levels again, then the Blue Box into the Tiny Terror. I could hit one high note and the guitar started to play itself. Either that or I had already over-boosted by then... and just lost touch with reality. Sounded like some glitchy 80's arcade song. -- That Rangebastard is alot for free |

I had a hard time getting the demo to work last night. Even though the Customshop said I had them out for trial, the models showed as "locked." I had to go back and forth between the Customshop and plug in several times before they finally showed and worked. Same for the stand-alone. Then... the new amp/cabs didn't seem to be anything special, and for bonus, the demos hiss. That is not normal. You have 48 hours to test out the gear models. Please contact support so we can get that straightened out. IMO the new cabs are really great. They even make other amps superb! antithesist wrote: You guys are all over here now, I guess.

(Also, I've seen it suggested plenty of times, so it's just a matter of time. ) Squids was kind enough to start a gear lust thread on the IK forum. You should drop by and suggest it! |
