Announcing Tundra Vol 2. The follow up to the very popular Tundra. People were asking for more presets for DUNE, so I created this new bank over a longer period of time.
This time around expect much more attitude from DUNE. Gritty basses and leads, dark moody pads but you will also find the more uplifting elements that I usually create, soft leads, smooth basses and tranquil plucks.
It is It is 105 presets and costs $20 on http://www.aiynzahev-sounds.com
(discounts plans available, see website)
http://soundcloud.com/aiyn-zahev/sets/t ... 2-for-dune
Tundra Vol 2 includes:
25 Bass & 4 Sub basses
4 Soft & 6 Hard leads
4 Trance (big room) leads & 11 Plucks
17 Pads, 6 Gated Pads & 4 strings
9 Sequences, 5 Synth
5 Texture & 3 FX
As usual there is a small freepack for everyone https://www.box.com/files/0/f/0/1/f_266 ... 2666805937
And remember I have discounts in place for existing customers (you should have a coupon) and multiple purchases.
It should work fine for LE versions of DUNE as none of the mod settings go beyond one page. The FX while used are generally not integral to the sound.
Best Regards to all and I hope you like it!

Hi! First off, I really like your direction here. And I'd like to make a general comment. I'm an older person who grew up on hardware analog synths. One of my biggest complaints about modern sound banks for most of the good soft synths available today is that often the filters seem to be set too open on the high end, making the synths sound too "fizzle-y". In general, I like to hear sounds that aren't so high-end oriented. Perhaps this is because in the real analog synths of the 1970s, they just couldn't produce such sounds. Hence, those older beasts sound warmer to me.
What I'd love to see are some sound banks for all the soft synths that are "pads only", with the pads bring slightly darker in tone, rather than the cotton candy pads we often get today. PS, I am NOT referring to your work, but rather I am speaking about the soundset industry in general.
BTW, I just bought Dune, so I would probably buy your soundset if this demo is a good indication of the whole bank. I like your sounds here.

Thanks for all the nice comments! I am going to check but as far as I know this bank should be fully compatible with the light versions of Dune. There are no modulations beyond one page and none of the patches will rely on the effects. I may use a phaser for example but if I do I will make sure the patch works great without it and note on the lcd that you should try it with an external phaser.LAGinz wrote:Will Dune CM accept additional sound banks?

I agree. I've been thinking for a while and really listening to a lot of great pad sounds and I released it's not about filling the audio spectrum. Its just about a certain texture and movement.johnnyvn wrote:Hi! First off, I really like your direction here. And I'd like to make a general comment. I think people make pads bright because they've got to compete in a busy mix, but I realised a while ago I can't make every preset "cut through" the mix. They will all become the same sounding, so I dark pads is definitely something that suits this new bank.
This applies to other sounds too.

This sounds like it is overlapping a lot with the dune essentail soundset by freshly squeezed samples. i mean it in a positive way, you could maybe add some sounds like darker pads to have your pack stand out more.
Finally!

I have that soundset, there is a little overlap simply because DUNE can only do so much and a lot of it's sound is in the unison so you will run into similar sounds.
It's quite a tasteful set, by Chicanes Engineer if I understand right, and it shows, they are pretty clearly designed by someone who makes tracks professionally but you should know, and these are just the facts and as a customer:
1) A certain amount of the presets distort at their saved level
2) Modwheel is not routed on every preset. I know sometimes it's a little contrived, but people have said to me and I now agree that at least a filter modulation if nothing else. You expect that.
3) Presets are named just whatever they are named, but there are no prefixes such as LD or BS or PD. Of course in DUNE you can just use the category but I am one of the people that tend to not use that function and prefer a pre-fix.
Minor things really, more to do with putting the bank together than the sound design itself.
Anyway, just wanted to say he's got a good few dark pads in there and It's a pretty good set. Its definitely got a style of its own and quite different from mine.
