How to issue a stop command to all playing media via Trigger

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to have a Trigger event stop playback of media events which are NOT being controlled by the Master transport?

I am not sure if I understand your intention proper but maybe the option "Custom" event in triggers is what you are looking for?

This is a quote from Cantabile's manual page 84:

Custom Event
Custom events allow invoking a trigger from an external MIDI Controller.
Select a custom event number for the trigger and the assign an external controller to that custom event number using MIDI Controller Assignments.


Probably Midi Loopback is another buzzword to consider.
