BTW metrosonic: The link in your sig is "httsp", it goes nowhere.

No I meant modulatable - I make a lot of use of Five12's Numerolgy & Cableguys 'MidiShaper' in my productions. The semantics of whether that is automation or modulation is unimportant to me. In the analog world it's stuff that's usually achievable through CV signals hence why I used the term 'modulation' but apologies to the god of synthesis if I'm incorrect in my usage of the term...Howard wrote:Do you mean automatable?metrosonic wrote:...the really clever bit is that the VoiceMap is itself modulatable
That was a typo. I use TypeExpander to add my sigs to various forums but for some reason I have to use Https on KVR otherwise it embeds a huge SoundCloud page within my signature (and I always add the 's' manually seeing as KVR is the only place this happens). On that post I put the 's' in the wrong place.Howard wrote: BTW metrosonic: The link in your sig is "httsp", it goes nowhere.

What, no praise for pointing out that the link in your sig... I'll get me coat!
Yeah, that's one thing we want to tackle but where we haven't found the "groundbreakingness" in concept that motivates us to push it through. We just discussed that recently, I should bring it up again.andow wrote:Some kind of A/B comparison between two sounds would be really helpful!
For example: if I am looking for a sound, browsing the presets and find something that I like, I usually edit it to suit my needs. Then if I go on browsing to see if I can find a better sound, I loose all the adjustments I did to the first sound. So it would be really cool if there was an A/B button to load the first sound to A and the second to B and see which one fits the track better. Or maybe just two variations of the same sound to compare them...
I hope you get my weird explanation...
The Synth Squad "Load to Mod Slot" feature is pretty neat. It allows you to essentially morph between 2 presets using a modulatoion source. You can see it in action here:Urs wrote:Yeah, that's one thing we want to tackle but where we haven't found the "groundbreakingness" in concept that motivates us to push it through. Yeah... that's awesome, but way over my head...bmrzycki wrote:The Synth Squad "Load to Mod Slot" feature is pretty neat. It's kind of like an XY pad in some ways.
What if you dropped your presets into the midi file then create a preset crossover control. Or use like a wavestation xy joy stick, drop a preset on each corner then morph between presets in the midi file.Urs wrote:Yeah... that's awesome, but way over my head...bmrzycki wrote:The Synth Squad "Load to Mod Slot" feature is pretty neat. How about we go back to the original request for a simple A/B comparison section within the patch saving functionality. Unsexy maybe but damn useful when tweaking patches.andow wrote:Some kind of A/B comparison between two sounds would be really helpful!
I don't think this function necessarily has to be "groundbreaking"...Urs wrote:Yeah, that's one thing we want to tackle but where we haven't found the "groundbreakingness" in concept that motivates us to push it through. We just discussed that recently, I should bring it up again.
