How good (essential?) are the Audio Damage "simple effects" (chorus, flanger, reverb)?

I have Nomad Factory Integral Studio Bundle 3, which includes the Liquid Bundle. Also various other plugs for chorus, reverb, flanging, etc. (Wizzoo W2, MobilOhm, Voxengo's chorus from the Analog Flux suite, etc.).
Trying to decide whether I would gain much getting Audio Damage's versions of these "simple" effects, since they're pretty cheap to begin with and are on sale for a little while here (tho these considerations by themselves aren't enough b/c I'm becoming more frugal).
Any opinions?

I don't know the Normas Puberty plugins but the Audio Damage stuff is usually top notch

What specifically do you like about the "simple effect" AD plugins over the Nomad Factory plugins?highkoo wrote:I daresay AD beats Norma Faculty in all areas.

The flanger effect from AD is the best I've found in software. I've demoed the Uhbiks and its better than that. It's almost zero-through. I think Virsyn have a pretty good one also though.

Well, I was being just a bit of a jokester. And I know a lot more about the AD plugs than the NF counterparts...JerGoertz wrote:What specifically do you like about the "simple effect" AD plugins over the Nomad Factory plugins?highkoo wrote:I daresay AD beats Norma Faculty in all areas.
But first off I think of Eos. Pretty top shelf for me.
I mean, until Valhalla...
Liquid and Vapor get used too. Im prolly not as choosy in those areas though.
I dont know how simple you consider BigSeq or Dr. Device, but they are super excellent.
ADs crazier effects are maybe the flagship of the bunch, but their 'regular' stuff is not slackin.

Liquid is one of my favorite plugins. I have it as a send effect in my default Live and Studio One sessions. I only use it for subtle effects, but it's right up there with UberMod and TAL Chorus-60 for my favorite chorus plugins.
EOS is also very good, but to be honest, ValhallaRoom is a much better deal as far as reverb is concerned, so if it's a one-or-the-other thing, I would say you could pass on EOS in favor of Room. Having them both would certainly be a plus, though.
