Specifically the 16 out. It scanned and hung and I closed and repeated this several times. (This is the Win 7 64 bit)
I thought I'd have to put in a ticket to Sony, but after 4 attempts, it finally opened. All the other NI synths and FX are there, but Kontakt is nowhere to be seen.
Just a heads up, and wanting to know if anyone else had this problem.
Soundforge didn't much like Kontakt ....

On topic, I guess I didn't realize you could open VST instruments in Sound Forge! I thought it handled VST effects only.

I'd say that's probably the explanation. I have version 9 of SF, and in a quick check of the listed plugins saw only VST effects (no VSTis).4lb Kitty wrote:

Note that some VST instruments (such as Predator) also provide effects versions of the synths that process incoming audio. I believe that those come in as VSTs (not VSTis). NI has a couple, including Reaktor itself. Those probably 'would' show up.
