Serioulsy though ... Audacity, believe it or not, has a noise remover which someties works very well. It's free, as you might already know

I have used this as well to good effect. It isn't perfect, especially on low level signals, but if you have enough signal-to-noise, it should do well.

The one for izotope is very very good, but very very expensive (you have to buy the whole bundle to use the Denoise thing). I'd probably try your luck with free or cheaper versions first.


The non-advanced RX 2 allows you to denoise. It just doesn't give you as many Advanced tab options. I've found it to be an indespensible tool when mixing home/project studio recordings.
