Help

I can't stop playing around with those darn contentious wobbles!!! Well then I must be a wobbleoholic? Right?

"Hello. My name is Chuck and I'm a wobbleoholic. I was a very bad boy today! I couldn't stop myself from making wobbles!!!!" Crying or Very sad

I know this is not REAL Dubstep. However I find elements of it VERY interesting. Here I apply them to my own music.

For those interested in Dubstep's origins refer to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubstep

On this track I used KJ Sawka's drum pac from Ableton Live 8, Omnisphere for leads and pads, NI's AWESOME Machine for Basses, and my trusty Stratocaster for guitar.

Criticism is welcome-too long-mix suggestions-etc etc o-@

The dropbox link would not play for me.

I am in awe of this track, so well done. Love it. Maybe could edit down a bit, I don't know. Up to you, still good. I like it as is.

Thanks for posting Alex. I don't know what's up with the link-works for me? I don't know why it's not coming up on the side panel as well? You know next to the video tab?

Great track again Chuck. Interesting take on teh dubstep. This track seems to have quite a "creepy" atmosphere. In fact, you could have said "My name is Chucky" Shocked Nice work with the vocals/samples, and the instrumentation was very good. I particularly liked the percussive embellishments. I did notice a little resonance on the left channel. Not sure if it was a wah-guitar or Omnisphere.

Good work Cool

Now I know where you keep your cash HiHi

Tim! I would be very careful tonight when your fast asleep!!! CHUCKEY may get you!!!!!! heheheheheheehehehehehehehe and I can spin my head around and around with ease.......

You have keen ears-yeah...I had a section panned by accident that needs to be fixed and the hole damn track needs to be cut down...I just get so sick of them you know? I don't know if I have the energy or inspiration to do it. Wouldn't it be nice if we could make some money with our tracks-that would give me inspriation to REALLY tweak them?

Aaaaaaaannnnnnyyyyyywwwwaaaayyyyyy!!!!!

You're a good man Tim! Thanks for your encouragement.

I like this. It's not harsh to listen to at all. I heard a teeny bit of Skillex, and it seemed to me that, while creative, may have been a case of "I'll see your extreme-sounding track and raise you THIS!" Maybe that's how it gets with genres; they play out 'cause no one wants to be perceived as doing what everyone was doing yesterday.
But back to your track - yes very listenable. I like that wobble bass sound too. People should "absorb what is useful", as Bruce Lee said, and not dump it just 'cause it's "dubstep".

the minute from 3:50 to 4:50 is awesome and I don't say that word lightly. the drums in that section are persuasive, and the talking synth is killer.

Is it dubstep? Who knows? Is it a great, GREAT piece of music? Hell yeah!

I've had a couple of 'goes' at this genre, and before I started I studied a whole load of tracks. And you know what? I came to the conclusion that if you call it dubstep, it is dubstep...

Anyway this is proving to be an interesting route for you, although whatever style you 'do' your musicality always shines through and makes it worth listening to.

Nice one Chuck Very Happy
