I'm working on an EP of 4:33 remixes and I'm having a hard time getting the feel just right. You can get wobble bass all day long for most synths but sound designers seem to ignore the more subtle genres. Can anyone recommend a plugin that would be good for this?

I've got my credit card out, I'm ready to purchase!

I recommend to use only synths which use the latest zero-sound-filter technology!

you can't do it with plugins, you need real hardware.

Oh, of course, this is a serious project. I initially thought that omnisphere, given the title, would be the synth of choice, but when I use it, something isn't quite right. Ok, to be fair, on the progressive jazz fusion remix that, unfortunately, won't make the EP, it was reasonably convincing, even more so if I grimaced as if constipated while sitting on the bench.

Just try the mute button on your misxing desk. If you don't have a desk or a controller with a mute button just rip out the power cable of your computer.

Dude, first, that's way too noisy, and second, how am I supposed to mix down my EP with my computer unplugged?

Pianoteq 4 has the finest modelled silence of all piano plugs. It's like the silence is heavily pregnant with all those notes that are never played. You can also get different forms of silence by carefully placing the virtual microphones.

Sample libraries just won't cut it here.
