That's excellent to hear. Fall would be the perfect time to listen to that. Definitely keep the 2CAudio mailinglist informed of any developments. Very anxious to get my hands on something.Galbanum wrote:This fall I hope actually... I have enough piano material for several albums in fact... Of course practicing it all enough to do a real tour is kinda hard while running two companies and playing with math etc...snigelx wrote:Seriously man, where's the album?
Lately i'v been liking: Ludovico Einaudi
I've heard of this guy for sure. What would you recommend? Also this is my absolutel fav work by Nils...He originally made this little 3 track EP for close friends as an xmas gift IIRC. I think this is the minimalist style but what it does to one's insides is highly complex. Wintermusik "Ambre" [/url]

Incidentally, all the cross-grade and "who gets what" stuff is being done b/c Aether, Breeze, and B2 are part of the same family of tools. We want them to be thought of as a suite. Our ideal is for everyone to have the Perfect Storm Bundle, so we are trying to make it easy for everyone to get there.
Cross-grades for us apply when products are in the same family and part of the same bundle. Future products may have nothing at all to do with reverb. And eventually we will start a new line of completely unrelated products.

I had the same thing but it's fine. It was a little different than "normal" - as you don't stay in Paypal very long - but everything is OK - you'll be fine.Sampleconstruct wrote:But that info is on the checkout page at 2C Audio - at least I saw the price I had to pay before entering paypal and within paypal I didn't see that info either.aMUSEd wrote:Yes that all went fine but there should be a summary page to review what you are paying on Paypal before you hit the pay button but it doesn't contain any information about what you are paying.
Your amount is in the Galbanum Store, then you go to paypal and you'll see your amount after you pay. Then the email from paypal has the right amount too - so everything is cool

I think one big difference in B2 is this:
- In Aether, you do your reverb settings etc and you play with eq & crossover frequencies like "normal".
- In B2, (besides all the dynamics etc) you set your reverb settings, but then to tweak - you just "guess" and play with the filter types and eq types and attitude - until you hit one you like. Then you tweak some more once you're close. The different filters & eq type really change the sound drastically.
Also - What are the buttons right under the "on/off" buttons for each engine?

Yes, Aether in the design sense, while being very forward-looking in it's design, is more traditional: We have an ER engine. We have an LR engine. We have freq bands with multiples of decay time for damping (albeit ours is still more flexible in this area than any other that i know of).jbraner wrote:I think one big difference in B2 is this:

B2 is a like the non-linear modular synth of reverbs. It is perfectly capable of creating sublime halls, as you hear in some of the demo sounds, but it's design gives even more freedom to those who want to experiment with making their own presets. B2 is more abstract in it's design and workflow. There are no rules. What sounds good simply sounds good.
"Swap Engines" and "Link Engines". Swaps makes A->B and B->A. Link makes A=B, and when you edit on engine the other follows. Actually I should say, it makes the non-displayed Engine the same as the displayed engine. (if B is displayed when you hit Link, B will be copied to A). It is good when you want to do dual engine stuff, and start with identical presets and then you can turn link off, and make some subtle changes between them, and try some of the various dual configurations explained earlier...jbraner wrote: Also - What are the buttons right under the "on/off" buttons for each engine?

Yes, beware the LINK button if you are working on a preset in the unselected engine! I've lost things twice by clicking that devil ;P So save your engine presets as you find you begin to like how it is progressing!Galbanum wrote:"Swap Engines" and "Link Engines". Where do those of us who own everything get out code for the B2 purchase?

Where do those of us who own everything [via separate purchases] get out code for the B2 purchase?
As soon as my web store guy can figure out how to implement the required change/addition.
Maybe/hopefully tomorrow or the next day...

I will miss sleep next few weeks, probably. It is that picture with sign "Coming Soon". What it could be?Galbanum wrote: Future products may have nothing at all to do with reverb. And eventually we will start a new line of completely unrelated products.
Virtual intelligence processor "Warm Hole" that can bring artist to the state of sub consciousness where he creates music by thoughts without hands?
Or Not?
Or Cloud generator that fuels digital music plasma generator? No?
It could be anything?

Ahh OK - thanks. I'm sure all will be revealed in the manual"Swap Engines" and "Link Engines".
Yes - I see what you mean.snigelx wrote:Yes, beware the LINK button if you are working on a preset in the unselected engine! ...
it's kind of like a FM synth in that (some of) the controls are less obvious (at first) in what they do.B2 is a like the non-linear modular synth of reverbs.
This will certainly keep us busy for awhile. I certainly hear just as much opportunity to make "realistic" spaces as much as "off the wall" ones
