The Chameleon to Alchemy upgrade had an excellent price, as well.

Does anyone know if the loops from the recent Zero G sale (Sounds of the 70s for $20) can be used in loop software like Acid?
I know they are just wav files, but this library was originally sold for Intakt, so they might not be perfectly looped, or contain the extra '1' downbeat at the ent of each loop - I can't tell by reading the description.

The Antares special quoted in the Bargain thread: That's still only x32, right?
I seem to recall throwing away some money on a similar offer recently, and I didn't want to make the same mistake twice.
Anyone know of x64 development from them in the works?
Cheers

I have an Intel iMac and run Mac OS 10.6.8. Evo Throat works.cyphersuit wrote:evo throat is 32 bit only?
I was curious and sent a supposrt request asking for 64 bit development.
Let's say you buy the latest computer with the latest OS and a recent DAW update, will 32 bit plug-ins not work, be slow, eat more CPU power than they should, make the DAW unstable?

if used together with jbridge (to bridge them into a 64 bit host), i'd say they eat more computing power and more often cause pops n crackles.
Finally!

I got a reply from Antares:
I use Logic 8. Mac OS 10.6.8 is 64 bit I think. So I am happy with Antares working on 64 bit.
So they are working on it. I propose you try the demo. I did actually plan to try it on non-vocal sounds because I don't use much vocals and I had the suspicion that might be interesting but the result was beyond what I was expecting. We are getting very close (quite close…) to the release of 64 bit versions of our plug-ins, but do not have a set release date yet.

Well, that confirms my suspicions. Just to be clear, x32 plugs will generally work in x64 environment with a bridge, but in my experience, not reliably. I now have a fully 64 bit environment that runs very efficiently. I don't need any bridges mucking up the works.
And Antares has been saying they'll release x64 for awhile now. I'll believe it when I see it (same goes to FLS and all its plugs). In the meantime, I've learned the hard way not to buy ANYTHING on faith.
cheers

Yes just bought them and they drop into Acid in perfect time. You also get .nki files for Kontakt although I haven't tried them yet.thenumber23 wrote:Does anyone know if the loops from the recent Zero G sale (Sounds of the 70s for $20) can be used in loop software like Acid?

You guys were right. What was a good deal became a crazy good deal; bargain upgrade price, DL content, and a voucher I used for Skanner (which I'm really diggin').gamecat666 wrote:Yup, I think you've done the best thing there. Surely you would get the best of both worlds as the 3 free products are for when you 'register' it, not when you buy it (and if the past is anything to go by, NI systems will just automatically send you the links/serials)optofonik wrote:I pulled the trigger on the "Summer of Sound" deal for the "Komplete 8" upgrade from K6 last night at 11:30. Now this looks like an even better deal. I guess I could cancel last night's order and get this. I really just wanted a cheaper path to K9 when it comes out but who's to say it will be worth it. And I kept the upgrade monkey off my back for soooo long.

For those of you that grabbed Stutter Edit, they have just released an expansion pack for free! - just go the Stutter edit page on the izotope website and click on the 'free presets' link.
