Sorry I didn't fully understand your query the first time.
Anyway, this work-around might do the trick: click on the Printable Version link found on the bottom of each topic, which puts all posts of a topic on one page. Then you can use the Search function of your browser, usually the Ctrl-F keys combination.

KVR needs a revamp in the search department. A "list by date" filter at the very least. Am tired of wading through old posts from like 2004.

On another note, I wouldn't mind an alternate webpage theme or several.

For very large topics it divides the thread in several parts. For example:

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/printview.php?t=158642&start=0

Easier to search with Ctrl+F, though.

I say KVR needs topics to be automatically closed after 100 posts. HiHi

NB: if you restrict the regular Search function on the Market Place forum only (which goes back a couple of weeks only) then chances are you will find that special post in this hay stack.

not good enough

are you somehow telling me a 'thread search' function is not a good idea?

I think he's trying to suggest workarounds that will let you get the result you want (or as close as feasible) unless/until someone alters the forum codebase to improve the search functions -- which would be nice, I agree.

That's not me, I don't touch any of KVR's PHP or data.

My apologies, I went through the first 15 pages but then, well, gave up. Unfortunately you can't search within a thread here at KVR hence the question.

another one bites the dust...
