Both the mono and the stereo versions of this seem to be really fantastic, competing in sound quality and functionality with stuff that costs five times more. I don't care about any personal drama that is currently ongoing or has gone on in the past - I'm really excited to use these plugs in my projects, as I think they're extremely good channel strip plugins on their own merits. For guitar, a mono instance at the start of the chain running before anything is dynamite, and a stereo instance either on the master bus or inserted after your software of choice is great for profound control over the sound. Obviously, want to be careful with the saturation when doubling up like that, but MixControl Pro is a really good tool. I am interested to see what V2 will mean.
My other go-to "channel strip" setups are freebies (which doesn't mean crappy, thanks Bootsie!) and Voxengo VoxFormer. I flirted with the idea of Slate for awhile and I think there's a lot of good things to say about it, and I also really like Izotope. I use T-Racks 3 Deluxe as a master bus chain pretty often on projects, as well. But I'm probably going to be using this plugin for a hell of a lot of things, now, maybe as an insert on every track. Between it and Voxformer I feel like I've got a very powerful, modern set of tools at my disposal and I'm quite happy with the performance and sound quality.
So, again, good luck DNR, I wish you the best and hope to see a realized V2 at some point in the future. I'll echo some of the earliest posters and state that I'd be willing, based on my experience here, to pay an upgrade fee for a V2 that offered substantial improvements, though for me the only things that I'd really like are a dot-plot phase correlation meter, and a faster spectro for the EQ section.
Comp and EQ are stand-outs, the gate works really well, hell, none of the parts are slouches. Without any of the drama of the situation clouding my head I'm just enjoying a really nice plugin for a very low price (relative to sound quality and functionality) that looks like it's going to be getting a ton of use in my projects in the future. Thanks!

I would've started a new thread, but I figured I'd just add onto this one - I'm working on the plans for MCP V2 right now. MCP V1 is going to be removed from the website in a few days and then I'll keep all users informed of plans for the V2 release. Probably sometime in the next few months (hopefully).
For those that do want to donate a few bucks into it, your welcome to, but it is absolutely not necessary. Current customers will still get the new version for free, and I'm still going to proceed with the project anyways. I set this thing up because I started getting random donations and there isn't much of a way for me to track who gives what without a page like the one below.

No worries, it's really not necessary unless you're absolutely adamant about it. I've had enough support here over the years that I don't mind doing this without the financial supportel-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:all good to hear...will definitely donate something next monthrlahalla wrote:I would've started a new thread, but I figured I'd just add onto this one - I'm working on the plans for MCP V2 right now. Well tbh, MC Pro is the best CS i've used, so it's gonna be really exciting to see what you can come up with for V2
