Hi folks; got the sampletron on sale, installed the 3 downloads and it's not working right. I can see the samples in Finder on my computer, but only some of them are showing up in sampletrons GUI. in my picture you can see that there are a bunch of samples in the sampletron instrument folder, but only 4 of them showing up within ST (and only 1 or 2 sounds for each of the shown instruments). tried hitting the refresh button, but no love. anyone have any ideas? it authorized just fine, so that's not the issue. thanks in advance.
edit: also, does anyone know where the manual is? ![]() ---- macbook 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo, 4 gigs ram, 250GB HD, Logic Studio 9 my blog and some music: http://rabbitearsmotel.wordpress.com/ |

ah, never mind. got tired of that nonsense quick enough and dragged all of the samples over to sample tank. works fine now. this stuff sounds great, but damn I am tired after staring at that GUI for the last couple of hours. money well spent though.

I would not keep the Sounds libraries within the program installation folder - if you can, create a folder somewhere else and move the libraries there. [ Select the new location if the [PREFS] Settings window.]
While in the Preferences window - turn off "Relist on start-up" and drag the number of outputs up to 31+32. The manual is installed along with the software - look in the program installation folder: Mac HD > Library > Documentation > IK Multimedia > (product name) > I could not find "Crimson Flutes" at all and these others are instruments do I'm not sure what those folders in the SampleTron Browser are. What files do they contain (as shown in the SampleTron Browser) and in Finder ---- DarkStar Interesting, if true ... |

What files do they contain (as shown in the SampleTron Browser) and in Finder all of my sampletank files are in a separate folder (instruments); not in the installation folder. i couldn't find the crimson flutes either in any of the folders. the ones in the ST browser would give me a message that they were not sampletron instruments and could not be selected. i guess all's well that ends well. now that everything is in sampletank, it is working good. i think that i'm just going to trash sampletron and make sure that the samples will still work in sampletank. sampletron has a pretty clunky interface and if it isn't needed to play the samples, I'd ultimately rather trash it. thanks for your help. ---- macbook 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo, 4 gigs ram, 250GB HD, Logic Studio 9 my blog and some music: http://rabbitearsmotel.wordpress.com/ |

Ok, gald it's working.
The "Crimson Flutes" folder must be on your disk somewhere. Perhaps it's for a different VSTi? And you just selected its parent folder accidentally? ---- DarkStar Interesting, if true ... |

And you just selected its parent folder accidentally? you're right. it's in the squids tron folder in Sampletank (actually it's called Criminal Flutes). I wonder how sampletron read that. it loaded automatically. very strange. ---- macbook 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo, 4 gigs ram, 250GB HD, Logic Studio 9 my blog and some music: http://rabbitearsmotel.wordpress.com/ |

get off the internet and make some music The best advice, but the hardest to do! Every time I sit down to start I usually end up opening a browser somewhere in between! |

Sometimes I go sample digging on YouTube or look for musicians playing their songs for inspiration. Works for me, its just when I open Facebook or Twitter that I get off track! |
