Im in the market to purchase a new software synth.
Curious to see what the KVR community will vote for. Im considering one of the following:
• Sylenth
• Synthmaster
• Diva
I realize Synthmaster and Sylenth are probably more versatile than Diva. Versatility isn't my #1 requirement. Most important is a warm full sound. Looking for great bass and leads.
I currently own:
• Zebra
• Arturia V Collection 3
• Komplete 7
Thanks for your opinion!

The ones you have are pretty sufficient for most things, especially bass and leads with Massive, Zebra, and the V Collection.
"musician."

What style(s) of music will you need it for?
What are your computer specs (i.e., is it a modern computer with enough juice to handle Diva)?
Edit: and, yeah, what nineofkings said. ^^^

On a serious note. Depending on your PC/MAC spec and music style the answer will be different. But the bottom line is that Sylenth despite its age is one of the most popular VSTi's ever. I'm not talking, which one is better. Personally I think it will complement your Massive well enough for long time.
It's simple to get head around, light on CPU, sounds - well... very good.
I'm sure Diva fanboiz (no offence intended) will eat me up here but it would be my choice

Computer is MacBook Pro with lots of RAM and 2.7 Intel core i7.
Music I create is all over the place. Some combination of Hip-Hop, Downtempo, Electro, Funk. I also do some sound design.
I realize the synths I have can accomplish great Bass and Leads. But playing with a new synth is so much fun! HA!

No argument here.giraffeburgerz wrote: I realize the synths I have can accomplish great Bass and Leads. But playing with a new synth is so much fun! HA!
I voted Diva based on your styles and the fact that Urs is one of the best and most communicative developers around, but Sylenth1 would get the job done as well. I don't own SynthMaster, so no opinion here.

Synthmaster is very versatile and can be fat and warm when needed as well as cold and cutting when needed.
Diva is less versatile but really nails that analogue vibe.
So it depends on what your after

Get arturia Brass - it's the best hybrid wind instrument,
and if you combine it with some effect chain - it can sound like no synth...
I think V Collection doesn't contain Brass......

What you need for your stated musical output is Strobe.
I have all the synths you've shortlisted and none of them will do anything any differently to what you already have. Diva is most definitely a step up in terms of sound quality, but in a mix? I dunno.
Strobe is different though. I bought it and didn't like it so I sold it, so I'm being reeeally objective here!

For something fresh and exciting I'd suggest 'Sugar Bytes - Cyclop' or 'Rob Papen - Blade'.

OP asked about 3 specific synths, and people are all over the place suggesting something else! LOL... all of this is opinion, but here's mine:
i love sylenth1, i use it all the time. synthmaster is pretty amazing, and can do a lot of things. diva is great for fat, analog sounds. they EACH have their strengths; best answer? try the demos, see what FITS into your music best...
