Hi,
I have some recorded leads and was thinking to use them in a creative way. I am would like to be able to set up the recorded leads in a sampler and then triggering them with a single midi note. Then, with a single knob/vst parameter/midi parameter, i would like to switch gradually between these samples that are playing in order to achieve a "sample morph" (crossfader) effect. Does something like this exist or do I need to write my own? thanks, Francesco |

Xfadelooper could be worth a look. |

Bear in mind if needed that there's no properly called "morphing" function with samples, you'd need to use resynthesis engines like in Camel Audio Alchemy, Virsyn Cube, etc...
If you the resynthesis process would give you a satisfactory result for your needs then, it will likely be the way to go... |

I think the TS just wants cross fading, rather than morphing.
Couldnt this be achieved by any sampler with a mod matrix? Assign both audiofiles to a key, and assign the same knob to the volume of both parts, but with opposite values. |

The basic idea is to have a simple way to switch to one timbre to another to another... and then the possibility to go get all the way back in reverse order. Also, having a LFO that crossfades between several samples would be priceless. It will allow me to do some nice bass wobbles. Your idea is nice, but works only with two samples. I would like to use more than two. |

wow, that's a nice tool. Not quite what I needed but I am surely going to use it. Thanks! AUTO-ADMIN: Non-MP3 links have been disabled in this post automatically. Once the member reaches 5 posts the links will become clickable. |

Kontakt's AET filter has FFT based morphing capabilities - read about it here:
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/feb10/articles/kontakt4.htm Alchemy (and its predecessor Ca5000) are best for this though - I made a whole bank just focussing on morphing between natural acoustic samples for the Ca5000 (soon to be available for Alchemy) ---- My free patches here http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm My Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/amused ![]() Last edited by aMUSEd on Sat Aug 18, 2012 7:49 am; edited 1 time in total |

http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/feb10/articles/kontakt4.htm Thanks!!! This is exactly the feature I wanted! Even if seems a bit complicated to set up, I will take my time to learn it. Thanks |

I use Bidule for all sorts of crossfading and routing as well as sample playback.
www.plogue.com/bidule Nevertheless this came to mind too: http://www.prosoniq.com/audio-plugins/prosoniq-morph/ ---- drab |

This can also be done by duplicating your MIDI pattern onto multiple channels, with each synth sound loaded up on each channel, and then cross-fading them by hand via midi controller or your DAW's automation |
