Just a site where you can boost the number of people who like your tracks, there is a lot of videos on youtube that are totally rubbish, yet.....they manage to attract so many views/likes, in a short space of time.
When I upload any videos, I always tag them and sometimes answer with a video, yet it doesn't seem enough to boost figures? What is the secret to plenty of views?

They pay for the views. People run botnets that you can hire. Scammers get rich.

But, there's a few semi good ones, like cloudkillers for soundcloud, where actual humans comment on your tracks and you can get useful feedback so you can develop your writing/mixing etc skills...

I got 80% of the comments here trough cloudkillers, just as an example. You can see that most comments are very related to the track and are generally positive.

Ok but what is your need for comments/views? They mean nothing unless you get into the hundreds of thousands, which is unlikely unless you a) provide outstanding content and get lucky or b) you have a well planned marketing campaign behind you.

The best way to start, is to get involved in commenting on other peoples work. There's millions of people out there putting up sound and video on the internet just expecting people to come to them. Why should they?

Just visited cloudkillers (account in the soundcloud) - really bad
interface, star immediatly playing stupid tracks you don't wan't to
hear, can't find how navigare etc. Sites in the mid 90's looked like this, all possbile misstakes made. Waste of time, unfortunately, the basic idea is good and will work is someone bother to make a good site/service. H.

I doubt that. Soundcloud is one giant back patting club where even relatively bad tracks can get a positive response.

Also, you can get thousands of comments and plays on soundcloud while still being rubbish, it just depends on your networking skills and how much effort you put into 'getting out there'.

^^^ Well I do agree with "will give more confidence" only if the comments are constructive. Only counts and number of plays/downloads means nothing.

You are right on Soundcloud too. It has truly become a giant back patting club. Usually people review your tunes when you review/comment on theirs but that's not happening anymore. I personally don't feel like commenting on any tracks anymore.
